Chornomorska SITCH – Year In Review – 2025
The 2025 year was a banner year for the Chornomorska SITCH organization and this Special edition of Nash Sport magazine highlights some of the events that occurred during the year.

Soccer – SFC 1924 (SITCH Over-30)
The SITCH Over-30 team advanced to the Finals of the West Orange Armory Indoor soccer league with a convincing 8-2 win. The finals will be held on Thursday 2/26/26 vs Parsippany Blues.
Olympics 2026 – Milan, Italy
Olympic Committee banned Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych from competing in the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics after Heraskevych refused to refrain from racing in a helmet that honors athletes killed in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Jessica Pegula (USA) was just too good on this day as she defeated Elina Svitolina 6-2, 6-4 in the final of the Dubai Open. Svitolina had a great tournament, and is off to a fantastic start to the 2026 tennis season. Her overall record so far in 4 tournaments is an impressive 15 Wins, 3 Loss with 1 Championship Title under her belt.

Soccer – Futsal Soccer Tournament – 2026
The annual Chornomorska SITCH Futsal tournament will be held on Saturday 2/28/26 at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of NJ. The tournament and first kickoff will start at approximately 10am. The SITCH Over-30 team will be defending their title against some very competitive Ukrainian teams.
Special Events – SITCH Sports Pub Night
Calling all SITCH members, players, fans and friends to get together for Pub Night on 2/28/26. The event will be held at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of NJ. While doors open at 7pm for this event, come early and cheer on your favorite Ukrainian soccer team who will be participating in the annual SITCH Futsal tournament taking place during the day.
