Congratulations to the FC Connection Over-50 soccer team for winning the Greater Chicago League Soccer championship against a very competitive Highlander squad. The game was an extremely close and tense match which actually ended tied 1-1 after regulation play. As a result, the championship was decided by a penalty kick shootout with the Ukrainians prevailing 5-4 after all PK’s were taken. The beautiful championship trophy, shown below, was presented to the winning team after the match.
