National Hockey League’s N.J. Devils host 11th annual Ukrainian Heritage Night

NEWARK, N.J. – The National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils hosted the 11th annual Ukrainian Heritage Night during the team’s December 8 game at the Prudential Center against the visiting Colorado Avalanche.

While the Devils lost the contest 4-0, they played host to a number of Ukrainian musical and dance performances before the puck was dropped to begin the 7 p.m. game.

Ken Daneyko, the Devils current color analyst whose mother is Ukrainian and whose father traces his roots back to Ukraine, made a special appearance on the arena concourse before the game began.
